In a Nutshell
1) Using the lyrics to the song, Passing Lane Hoggers© create your own melody: Enter your .mp3 before August 31st (end of Phase 1).
2) Enter your version of, Passing Lane Hoggers into one of 11 song styles (Country, Blues, Rock, Rap, whatever…): Three songs will be chosen to compete in each song style. Enter as many songs as you wish. (Only $5 per entry.)
On or near Sept. 5th (beginning of Phase 2) the 33 songs chosen will become available for purchase on this website. Each time someone purchases/downloads your track, you’ll make an amazing 50% cut from that sale. Those with the most sales/votes in each genre at the end of the year will be our winners. Buyers will be required to purchase a minimum of three tracks (all different), to prevent “for a friend” purchases from dominating sales.
Everyone selected into phase 2 will make that same 50% cut with each download of their track, indefinitely. We ALL win!
Worst case: Your song isn’t selected into Phase 2, but you still have a recording of a very amusing song to share with friends and family. Read the Lyrics and see what we mean.
